The first concert of the season: Within the scope of "2008 INTERNATIONAL TROUBADOUR OLYMPICS ICELAND TOUR" the musicians Svavar Knutur (singer of Hraun) from Iceland, Sam Burke and Peter Uhlenbruch alias Owls of the swamp - both from Australia - gave a wonderful concert.

Start and destination are the westmanislands - nine persons on the way around Iceland with two boats and one car. They are collecting money for young people with cancer. The first chess tournament in Djúpavík - 9 games, 15 minutes - with around 50 participants from Iceland, Greenland, Denmark and Germany - some are Grand Masters (GM). The day 17th June is the icelandic national holiday. This day is celebrated in whole Iceland. And in Djúpavík, too. Cowds of people going out on the street! But it is Sunnevas birthday today, too!
