Photography exhibition in the old herring factory - from 18 July 2009
An exhibition with pictures I took in the old herring factory in Djúpavík - my dream becomes reality this year! Togther with Tina Bauer (

I went to Germany for some days, to enjoy my birthdaypresent (thanks :-), be.), to visit my familiy and friends and get done some things.
But shortly after the start at Keflavík I had a nice view to Kleifarvatn.

Once more art - this time for peace: Yoko Onos light beam "
Imagine Peace Tower" on the island Viðey. This light shines up into the dark sky from the 9th of Oktober (John Lennon's birthday) till 8th of December (the day of his death) - but, why the light was on today - the 24th of march... I don't know...?! A perfect addition: Northernlight...

15 March 2009 – Reykjavík. Church Hallgrímskirkja. (2 pictures)
The largest church in Iceland, up on the hill: The Hallgrímskirkja. This bulding was planned by the architect
Guðjón Samúelsson and named after the poet
Hallgrímur Pétursson. Because of changing the pluster the steeple is covered with this scaffold...

14 March 2009 – Reykjavík. Press pictures of the year 2008 (Myndir ársins 2008). (6 pictures)
The yearly prize-giving during the exhibition "Press photography 2008" (at Gerðarsafn in Kópavogur). Main topics were the financial crisis and protests during fall and winter 2008 and the good results of the icelandic handball team during the olympic games. For me it was a good change to pass in review the last year...

10 March 2009 – Kleifarvatn. Ice. (9 pictures)
In the morning sunshine. And the decision to jaunt. But at noon clouds. We did not care. It was great to be at Kleifarvatn again. The lake Kleifarvatn is a big lakein south of Reykjavík, which I visited together with Kaja several times (
here and
there) - and with Kaja today again!
