The glacial lake Jökulsárlón where 'the icebergs that calve from the glacier edge move towards the river mouth and get entrenched at the bottom', says Wikipedia. Still cold as ice - and a man probably thinking it's not cold enough ...

A short break and driving by car further east we reached our next goal - Jökulsárlón. Icebergs drift out to the sea and the sea again drifts them back to land and beach. Cold as ice (of course), unique and wonderful.

Our second goal was the waterfall Svartifoss in the national park Skaftafell (see also on Wikipedia). Close to the end of our hike we had a great view on the glacier tounge of Skaftafellsjökull.

Weekend trip to the South East of Iceland with Marit - to see Skaftafell and Jökulsárlón. We had great weather and saw wonderful landcapes. Glacier tounges, snow, ice, nature, blue sky ... Just great! First we visited the glacier tounge of the glacier Svínafellsjökull.

A very special event: The electro music band KRAFTWERK played in Reykjavík (HAPRA). An impressive concert, difficult to explain with words (thats why I use photographs). The first time I saw KRAFTWERK live was in 1981. Now, 32 years later, the second time - in Iceland! A very emotional moment for me ...

Sadly, the last day at Hafnarhús. Live on stage: Nolo (IS), Ghostigital (IS), Mykki Blanco (US), Gold Panda (UK) and Savages (UK). Already now I look forward for 'Iceland Airwaves 2014'!
