A new project - a new way to enjoy photography. 42 photography from Iceland by Claus, and his descriptions about the pictures. Iceland enthusiast Jutta Wittmann was choosing 42 photogrpahs from Iceland, which fit to Claus' descriptions - without knowing the pictures. Saturday morning Hemmi, Petra and I decided to make a short photo tour to the north. We did not dirve so far (short before Gjögur we turned around), but it was impressive to see the great landscape covered with snow.

There was a warning about a lot of snow coming this morning, but we did not expect a blizzard passing Reykjavík. It was so much snow that the authorities of town Reykjavík recommended to stay at home ...

Another trip, this time around Hvalfjörður fjord combined with a short hike at the end (or begin?) of this fjord - near the waterfall Glymur. But with a lot of snow!

Beside the main road - sometimes very special spots. Like beside road 54. lava fields, red stones, green moss. First intense colours, later all white because lava and moss was covered with of snow.
