This year I will show in Djúpavík two exhibitions: The installation "Pictures - and their sounds" with 14 new pictures/sounds (of 38 ones!). And I will show about 200 pictures, which I was choosing by random from my homepage. The exhibitions are open from 1 June till 31 August 2011 in the old Herring Factory in Djúpavík. The fourth time this year: the local chess tournament in the middle of June. Normally it should have taken place in the old herring factory, but it was much too cold in there. So the chess boards were moved to the dinning room of the hotel and the chees clocks were started there ...

National holiday. Celebratet in Djúpavík, too. Almost everyone who was present in Djúpavík joined this small pageant.

The icelandic artist Gunnar M Petrusson shows his work 'Strúktúr' in the big hall of the herring factory. Open daily till end of the summer.

Sometimes Magga plays some songs with her saxophone in one of the tanks beside the factory. Because of the long reverb such a concert is a special experience.

This summer we ha a special exhibition in the dining room of the hotel: Needleworks by Pálina, a teacher from the school further in the north, an her students. A recommendation!

The sommer arrived, and we got our first supplies of food and a huge cooler from Reykjavík and the very important Ice-cream.
