Association 'Oldtimer of Island' (Fornbílaklúbbsins Íslands) organized a tour through the westfjords this summer. So they stopped in Djúpavík, too. Andreas S. from Hamburg joined the tour, too...

The movie maker Stefan Erdmann (and here: www.islandfilm.de, in english) and the pilot Þórhallur Óskarsson of the ultraligh-airplane arrived in Djúpavík to take pictures from the air of this great surroundings. Thanks to Stefan and Þórhallur, because I could join a flight and see Djúpavík from above... Whau!

In summer a fine exhibition for the 25th anniversary of the hotel was shown: '25' by Ómar S. Kristinsson and Nína Ivanova. 25 small art works, and each work is connected with the number 25 and Iceland/Djúpavík. But one piece is missing (I forgot to take a picture) - a sea monster in the fjord with its 25 spikes on the back...

Opening event in the old herring factory: "Áfram með smjörlíkið" by the icelandic artists Hlynur Hallsson und Jóna Hlíf Halldórsdóttir.

Because Martin and Anna were Djúpavík for a visit, we drove to the north - mountain Krossnesfjall for hiking a little. Tim joined with us this tour. Great weather and better views!
